Happy Friday Everyone!! For me, the weekend means taking part in one of my favorite activities: brunching (yes it's a verb)! Brunch is a huge deal in SF, and I usually go at least once a month, sometimes way, way more. Fridays are undeniably the best day to brunch, because you get the weekend feeling without the crowds! This morning I went out with my good friend, Soleil, in pursuit of some yummy food to combat the crummy weather.
Reviewing: Sweet Maple
The basics: This is one of the best brunch restaurants I've been to yet. It's set in Lower Pac Heights, and has ample seating, fast service and, of course, it's DELICIOUS. It's casual enough to stop by for a quick meal, and fancy enough to make brunch an event.
What to drink: Look for the (refill) mark on the drink menu to save some money. I highly recommend the Raspberry Lemonade as a sweet side, and Soleil liked the coffee, though it is a little strong (both these were free refills). For those of you out for Boozy Brunch, they have bottomless mimosas for $18/person or singles for $9.
What to order: Every meal I've had here has exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed the Herbi Omlete, and Soleil loved the Hemingway Benedict. If you've never tried the famous Millionare's Bacon, it is a must have. It's thickly cut bacon smothered with brown sugar & cayenne pepper, and might just change your life.
The catch: It's on the expensive end of the spectrum, Soleil and I got out with paying $25 each. So look for something yummy and cheap.
Bottom Line: It's one of my new go-to spots, that it worth the trek and the prices. If you go, I'd love to hear what you think! Happy Brunching :)
