This past week and a half has been one of the best of the summer! I got to do all my favorite things at home in the days before I left. Jackie, Maddie, and I got in a great drive to the coast. I spent some time packing up, laying in the sun, and hanging with my parents. All in all it was the perfect end to one of my favorite summers yet.
This past Tuesday I turned 20! I had a relaxing day at home and a wonderful, amazing, massage gifted from my parents. Then we went out to dinner at this amazing Southern restaurant in Santa Rosa called Sweet T's where I was blessed by some bbq ribs. Then Wednesday we all packed up my clothes and moved the last of my things into the apartment on Wednesday. That night I went out to dinner with all my favorite people and had the best time!! Thank you to everyone who made me feel special this week!
Saturday Chris and I drove to Lodi and went skydiving at Bay Area Skydiving. We have been talking about going for the last year, and this was my last free day of the summer so we decided to just go for it! I was crazy scared, and our parents were definitely less than thrilled but I figured it was a once per lifetime thing. I splurged and purchased the DVD film of me jumping and was so happy I did because it captures how I feel the entire time and is such a fun memory to look back on! I honestly can't believe I survived. When they asked me if I'd do it again, I said I'm glad I did it once, but I don't feel like I need to do it again and test my luck.
These past two days I've been back at school. While I'm happy to be back and see everyone, I'm already drowning in homework because that's just how nursing school is. Cheers to a new year, new decade, and surviving sky diving!
